Kevin O’Dell of BNE says “Despite an ongoing struggle with enquiry levels for the retail sector, St Andrews has created a buzz amongst locals and regional enquirers who are naturally happy to see a new parade of shops that offer great visibility to the main road, on site customer parking and within close distance to the town centre”.

The units were completed early 2011 with the opening of Simply Fish & Chips in December 2010. The owners of the shop have noticed a dramatic increase in the 8 months of trading and expect their new neighbours to add to the increasing knowledge of the location.

George Xydias of Simply Fish & Chips adds “We took the decision to be the first to open at St Andrews back in December as we knew it would only be a matter of time before interest for this site picked up and didn’t want to lose out on what is a great position in the town. Thankfully, we got in first and since the builders have gone and the site is finished, our customer base has grown month on month. I understand that two of the units next door are now under offer and going through with lawyers and, hopefully, we can offer our new neighbours a welcoming meal very soon!”

The newest addition to the parade will be Ecospin Laundry Services who recently exchanged on Unit 4. Ecospin owner Hugo Franca says “We are very happy to be joining this exciting retail parade as we had been looking in town for some time but just couldn’t seem to find anything that had suitable parking for our customers. Kevin says “The units are excellent quality with the remaining units 1 & 2 ranging from 1,048ft² up to 2,200ft². In an ideal world we would like to see other users such as Hairdressers, Off Licenses, Mini Markets etc., come to the site but realise times are still tough out there. However, when you think of some of the rental values that are being paid currently, St Andrews is competitively priced and we can offer incentives in the first year to get businesses up and running subject to the overall package. We have good interest in the last two units currently but no deal is on the table at this time so if you would like to be part of Kettering’s newest retail parade time is running out!”
